ISIS-K planner hit by a drone strike
The sudden airstrikes were carried out by the US military in the Nangahar Province of Afghanistan which claimed the life of the ISIS-K planner. The US authorities believe that they killed the ISIS-K planner who planned the suicide attack in Kabul, causing deaths which include US troops as well.
The US took action and the news comes as US soldiers assisting Afghans fleeing Taliban rule issued a warning on Saturday about impending strikes at Kabul airport. After the tragic blasts, the US believes there are still “particular, serious” threats against the airport.
Captain Bill Urban confirms that strikes were carried out in the Nangarhar Province of Afghanistan, and said that we have killed the Islamic state planner.
He further added, “there have been no civilian casualties in the drone strikes”.
The Islamic State in Khorasan Province or ISKP claimed responsibility for the attack on Thursday (ISIS-K).
US forces had to start the operation against IS as there have more threats after the attack on Thursday and the US ordering its people to leave the airport, as there was a possible threat of more attacks.
After an ISIL-affiliated suicide bomber killed at least 175 people, US Marines assisting Afghans eager to flee Taliban control were on high alert for more assaults on Saturday. The strike near Kabul airport claimed the lives of thirteen US service members and 162 Afghans.
The US on alert until the evacuations finishes off after the Kabul attack
Following an Islamic State suicide bombing at Kabul airport that killed 13 US service members, US forces assisting Afghans seeking to flee Taliban control were on high alert for fresh strikes on Friday.
The next few days of an ongoing US evacuation operation, which the Pentagon claims have evacuated some 111,000 people from Afghanistan in the last two weeks, are expected to be the most perilous, according to the White House.

Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby on Friday afternoon stated that the IS might be planning another attack on the airlift. He further stated, “There are some genuine threats we feel.”
President Joe Biden after Thursday’s attack
On Friday, President Joe Biden promised that the militants responsible for Thursday’s suicide attack would be apprehended.
“Know this: Those who perpetrated this attack, as well as anybody who wishes America harm, will not be forgiven. We are not going to forget. We’ll track you down and hold you accountable “Biden stated on Thursday.
How the operation was carried out
Residents of Jalalabad stated, “They heard the blast at the night”.
The drone strike attack by the US was the first after the blast which took place on Thursday by Islamic State terrorists.
The jihadist was killed by a Reaper drone launched from the Middle East while he was in a car with another IS member.
It was defined by Central Command’s Capt Bill Urban as an “over-the-horizon terrorism operation.”

Officials in the United States have issued a new caution to US citizens, advising them to avoid the airport’s gates in the event of more assaults.
The US believes there are still “particular, genuine” threats against the airport, according to Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.
He further said, “We are certainly prepared and anticipate such attacks in future as well”.
The majority of NATO countries have now stopped flying emergency flights. On Friday, France called off the evacuation, citing deteriorating security at the airport as the reason.
Taliban ready to take full control
According to two top Taliban commanders, Taliban militants have taken up positions in Kabul airport and are ready to seize full control as soon as US forces depart this weekend. According to one senior officer, Taliban troops had gained control of the vast majority of the airport, “except for a little section where the Americans remain.”
Taliban’s officials stated that we are just waiting for them to leave, as soon as they flee from Afghanistan, they just have to signal us and we will take complete control of the region.
According to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, the US expects some ongoing interaction with the Taliban following the departure to assist subsequent evacuations.
She told reporters, “The reality is that the Taliban control significant swaths of Afghanistan, including the districts surrounding the perimeter of the airport.” “As a result, that is our only option.”
