Sindh Police COVID-19 tally exceeds 5000! The Sindh Law Enforcement source said on Wednesday that within the past four days, at least 199 employees have contracted the novel coronavirus.
A total of 5,246 law enforcement officers have positively identified the virus so far, according to the release, while 614 are actually seeking treatment. Though 4,609 have recovered, the virus took the lives of 23 police officers.

With 237,308 infections reported since the novel coronavirus was first discovered in late February last year, Sindh is the hardest hit province. The number of pending lawsuits throughout the province today stands at 18,377.
Provincial government statistics show that since the beginning of January 2021, 21,629 persons have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. At least 3,830 people have died of it in almost a year since the disease was first identified in the province.

Since two emergency anti-coronavirus vaccines, the AstraZeneca-Oxford and the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine is green-lighted by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), the Sindh Health Department has requested Rs1.5 billion for inoculation procurement.
