During the recent crisis between Israel and Palestine, Erdogan has clearly said that the United Nations once again fails to provide justice to the Muslims. It’s time for Muslim countries to have their own united Nations.
President Erdogan further mentioned that The fate of the world’s 1.7 billion Muslims is no longer in the hands of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council. The united nations will have to pay for each body, otherwise, the UN will be rejected and we will create our own Muslim united nations.
“The world is bigger than five” is a famous slogan used by Erdogan to criticize the permanent members of the united nations.
Erdogan has a dream to unite Muslims. He has a dream to revive the Muslim empire. An empire that is even greater than the ottoman empire. An empire with 1.8 billion people making up about 24.1% of the world population. An empire that stretches from Indonesia to Somalia. An empire with united Muslim nations.
Erdogan is a true follower of Islam and always believes in Muslim unity. Whenever something happens with Muslims around the world, Turkey is always there for help.
During the Armenian-Azerbaijan war in 2020, Turkey helped free Karabakh mountain and captured land in Azerbaijan. Turkey provided military drones to Azerbaijan during the war which proved to be the game-changer for Azerbaijan.
Erdogan is the only Muslim leader to openly condemn Trump’s middle east peace plan calling it an occupation plan.
When the French president defended the Blasphemous sketches of Prophet Muhammad, Erdogan boycott France and called Macron a mental patient. “What problem does this person called Macron have with Muslims and Islam? Macron needs treatment on a mental level,” Erdogan said in a meeting.
Erdogan openly criticized India for its occupation of Kashmir and sided with Pakistan. Very few world leaders have the courage to condemn India, as India is one of the largest consumer markets.
Erdogan always worked for peace in Syria. He condemned the violent policies of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and provide military aid to the freedom fighter in Syria. Erdogan saved Libya from division. Erdogan didn’t turn his face from the destiny of wrecked Somalia. He also condemned the annexation of Crimea.
Erdogan has a dream to rebuild turkey as a Muslim nation like it was in the time of the ottoman empire. After the fall of the ottoman empire, Turkey was made a secular state by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Mustafa Kemal westernized Turkey by banning the headscarf for women, replacing Arabic with Latin script, and the Islamic calendar with the western calendar. Mosques were under state control. Faith was declared as a private matter, and nobody was allowed to promote religion.
Turkey was like this until Erdogan came into power. Erdogan is trying to turn Turkey into an Islamic state again. Erdogan is converting museums and cathedrals into mosques. Music, culture, cinema, almost everything in turkey is being Islamicized. Turkey is making dramas like Drilis Ertugrul, and Krulus Osman, which shows the glorious past of Muslims. By this Erdogan wants to promote Islam to the world. Erdogan’s wife unlike the preachings of Mustafa Kemal wears a headscarf. Turkey is the defacto leader of the Muslim world.
Turkey, Pakistan, and Malaysia are planning to launch a joint currency. In the beginning that would be used by these three countries, and later if it works rest of the Muslim countries will join. This would be the first step of the united Muslim nations.
IF Erdogan achieves his dream of the Muslim empire, then the world would not be the same. Currently, there are 52 countries with a Muslim majority, distributed in three continents mainly in Asia and Africa, and some in Europe. Almost All of them are connected, except India and Myanmar. The Muslim empire would have Nearly 6 million combined active-duty military personnel with 200 million reserves. Combined military vehicles include 11,000 tanks, 3100 aircraft, 120 vessels, and Around 120 nukes in Pakistan only.
If Muslim countries united today they would instantly be the most populous country with the largest area, second most powerful military power with the largest army, the third-largest economy with the highest trade, highest energy, and third-highest manufacturing output.
It won’t be easy for Erdogan to unite Muslims, but hope for the best.
