Ashraf Ghani the President of Afghanistan flew from Kabul as he got to knew about the fall of Kabul. Everyone knew that the Taliban will capture Kabul and establish their rule in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of US forces, nobody knows that it would be so quick. A US intelligence report was published saying that the Taliban will capture Kabul in 60 days. Taliban capture Kabul two days after the report was published.
The image of the Taliban in international media is bad. They are seen as someone barbaric, who have no ethics, and follow no rule of law. It is shown in the media that the general public hates them. However, in reality, it is inverse. People were fed up with the corruption and mismanagement by the Ghani government. They were Aware that Ashraf Ghani was just a puppet of the United States.
