Pakistani students shine at 3rd Silk Road and Young Dreams Award Ceremony


Pakistani Students shine always! Pakistani’s do not lag behind in any field and do not leave any opportunity to shine, making Pakistan proud. Judges were in awe to see the per formances of students from Pakistan in the yearly 3rd Silk Road and Young Dreams competitions.


The students won prizes in multiple categories such as speech, photography, music, singing, and sand painting in the Beijing award function. The competition was attended by participants from more than 30 countries. The Pakistani students shined among students from various countries.

The ceremony was hosted by:

  • Silk Road Cities Alliance
  • China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development
  • Beijing Belt and Road Cooperative Community
  • Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University

Pakistani students shine

Mr. Ahmed Farooq dispensed the awards among the title claimers and runner-ups. He is currently working in the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing as Deputy Head of Mission.

The jury for the speech competition belonged to Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB), Lead by Muhammad Ali Asad.

The attendants of the event were quite charmed by the performances of participants from Pakistan in various categories such as speeches, singing, music, and art work. Major positions in several dimensions were secured by students hailing from PECB.

Danish Yaqoob claimed the first position in the speech competition while Abdul Rehman, a student enrolled in Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB) managed to garner the third position. Pakistani students shine in all categories.

The most popular award in photography was again claimed by a student belonging to PECB, Maaz Ali Nadeem.
The excellence of music and speech contest awards were also bagged by Thembekile students and Areeba Ali.


The Health Deceleration was read by a team of students from PECB on the stage of Silk Road and Young Dreams.

Due to worsened conditions of the Corona Virus pandemic, this edition of Silk Road and Young Dreams was held online with a theme dedicated to Health.

The participants from across the world took part enthusiastically in the annual contest and spread colours with their enlightened thoughts and performance in all categories.
