Maryam’s source of expensive clothes questioned by Fawad Chaudhry. On Friday, Federal Minister of Science and Technology Chaudhry questioned from where Maryam Nawaz, Vice President of PML-N, gets the money to buy the’ costly designer clothes she wears every time she steps out of her house.’
“We don’t like to put people in jail,” he said, addressing a ceremony at Rawalpindi’s Barani Institute of Information Technology.
He added that “people’s money should be returned”

Chaudhry also criticised the Opposition’s reaction to an investigation committee set up to investigate the saga of Broadsheet LLC.
“There is no government minister in the inquiry committee,” he stressed.
The Federal Minister also said that the once turbulent civil-military relations disrupted the development of the country, but under the incumbent government headed by the PTI, things are improving.
Fawad said we were constructing battle tanks but couldn’t assemble vehicles. He added that the government is looking to develop drones with the assistance of the armed forces as civil-military relations strengthen under the PTI regime.

The Minister of Science and Technology said that the foundation of the modern world was laid by universities, not by politicians or clerics. “The basis of development is argument and logic, and learning from the past.”
He spoke about the use of industrial biotechnology and agricultural technology, stressing that the world was far behind the region. “We cannot rely on selling radishes and carrots only, the agriculture sector has to be modernized.” Maryam’s source of expensive clothes questioned in the media.
“In a country of 220 million people, we are still not manufacturing anything. The point of privatisation is to promote industries. Pakistan will see changes in the next five years.”
